              Colne Road Studios is the home and permanent workplace of                                        David Whetton and Karen Grosch. We are a creative partnership working in the film,         Tv and museum industries making models and replicas model makers and sculptors.  

We came to 100 Colne Road in 2003 and began the gradual refurbishment of an old set of buildings to create a workplace that is functional and efficient but also quietly inspirational for those working within it. 

Our way of working has been built on partnerships and collaborations. 

Working with a varied team of freelancers over the years we have developed many great working relationships with some very talented individuals. To celebrate these relationships and to showcase the richness of skill and talent  in their personal work we open our studio to visitors from time to time  as an exhibition space. 

From October 2024 we are planning to open the studio and workshops part time for life drawing and short courses in a variety of art and craft based disciplines  guided by experienced practicing artists and makers.
